new to this

It has been SO long since I've kept a blog so I'm not sure where to start really. I guess with the reason I decided to blog. To share with others.

Although I'm rarely on the internet these days I still love finding good deals and saving as much as I can. I think my want to save money comes from me being an Accountant, but for as long as I can remember I've been saving. When you are going to college and don't have a job you have to learn to manage your money quite well. Now Anthony and I are just trying to save as much as possible to establish our savings in case we ever need it. It's hard at times since there are always unknown costs, but I'm very thankful for being able to save.

On our quest to save money we recently started couponing. I always thought of it as lame, but then after watching the show "Extreme Couponing" and realizing you really can save a ton of money we decided to give it a try together. Plus the more you save in certain areas the more you can spend in others right? lol. It's only been about a month and so far we've done quite well. So far this week we've hit up CVS, Walgreens (twice) and Jewel Osco. I've outlined our purchase at each below just in case you are curious as to what we got and how much we spent.
